An Emory-Hopeful!

Hello! I actually posted this in the "What are my chances?" forum, but I thought if I posted it here that I might get some feedback from students at Emory and whatnot. I was just wondering whether or not I have a strong chance of being accepted at Emory.

And, I'm not sure if this matters at Emory, but I am visiting the campus soon to express interest in attending. (I also ordered the DVD virtual tour/viewbook.)

if you raise your SAT scores, you'll definately be up there as a good pick in the college game. as a side note, i never went to the campus before i was accepted, so i'm not sure how much it matters

I'm not to saying that you can't get in without visiting or ordering the (free) video visit, but the admission committee certainly takes it into consideration.

Yeah, dgebll, that's what I thought. I thought I had seen that somewhere online.

http://www.videc.com/videoidx.cfm

i think you can find the free video here.

Thanks, but I ordered that before this post and said so in the original post.

Determined interest does matter, though I'm not sure to what extent.
But no need to cover that topic, it seems you already have that taken care of.

I think you have a good shot. Your GPA is stellar. Like dsouthern said, try raising your SAT score because it is on the low side. http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=539&profileId=6 Everything else looks great. Compile a good application and write essays that display your individuality.

Thanks, Blaze991! :)

what school do you go to?

I go to a small school in Georgia. It would be a bit ignorant for me to give the name of my school on here, though.
