Mods, please delete the other thread with the same title :) Thanks

So ..I know I'm asking for a lot, but CC is my only source for help.

I think Lehigh, Purdue, Notre Dame, and Wash U are best for comp sci but they probably all have decent comp sci.

Thanks mate ! :)

Bump.

The LAC's tend to have very limited programs in cs. They may be excellent schools overall, but depending on what you are looking for, you may not find nearly as many opportunities in CS there as at the universities. This is an individual thing with each college, so investigate carefully.

If I go to an LAC, I'll do a CS+Eco double major :).

well, our CS department has students who've won Goldwater scholarships, and we're a college that's often described as "arty" (which bugs me.)

CS at various LACs (I found this when looking for data on Oberlin's CS majors.): http://www.davidson.edu/math/davis/csAtPeers.html

Thanks mate. Hmm.

Bumpity bump.

The percent of students who get CS degrees is not the issue. The question is how many upper level courses are offered. At some LAC's the answer is "not many". This does not mean that one cannot get a legitimate BA type degree, but it may mean that someone who wants to take 20-25 technical courses may not be able to do that. For places like Oberlin, which send lots of students to graduate school, the combination of CS courses, math, and others, may be a terrific launching pad. But prospective students need to look at each LAC to see whether the CS program suits their goals.

...and I can get course information, lists on the university websites only ?

Drexellent.
