AN EXTREME BEAST OF A MATH PROBLEM 2 (not quite as complicated)

delete.....

Shanice had 56 (b)

how'd u do it?

edit, nvm its really easy

Use algebra- (I don't know any easier way to do this)

Raphael=3x
Mohammed=x
Shanice= 3x+20

If shanice gave 12 to Raphael
Raphael = 3x+12 and Shanice=3x+8

And Raphael gave 1/4 to Mohammed
Raphael= 2.25x+9 and Mohammed = 1.75x+3

And then Raphael had 12 more candies than Mohammed
2.25x+9-(1.75x+3)=12
.5x+6=12
.5x=6
x=12 (Mohammed's candy amount before)

And from earlier Shanice=3x+20
12(3)+20= 36+20=56

Bubble in B and you are finished.

Hope this helps.
