My college essay is good but not stellar. My teachers' letters of recommendation I presume are stellar. They have known me each for quite a long time.

I love design and to build. I even sent a portfolio of my work to Yale university.

What are my chances of getting into Yale Engineering?

I've applied for fall 2014. Please let me know what are my chances.

Bump! Can someone chance me? I’ve been rejected by great middle tiers. I’m freaking out !

Not with those SATs. You’re about 300 points away from most Yale students.

Raise up your SAT. However strong your hook is(i.e. the diversity factor),you must get at least 2100+ to be considered by Yale or Ivy-caliber schools. Besides, your SAT subs are a bit low for engineering standards - I’d recommend raising them to 750+ each.
Still, everything else looks good. Why are u considering engineering at Yale,btw?

@soze Yes! I know !

@bbff1234 I know it’s hard to get in there. I’ve already taken a gap year and taking another one would be impossible. 2 years lost ! But I’ll try to work on those SATs if ever I’m considering to take those SATs again.

I love the place , the campus and its diverse community. Yale is investing a lot in its science and engineering departments. Plus, I watched tons of videos on Yale. I fell in love with the place. I know that getting in is impossible but I will try my best next year.

@bbff1234 I got a friend with 1990 sat and got into Harvard. But he was exceptional. Anyway, better have low expectations and hope for the best. :)

@ashik1:Yeah, we’ll all hope for the best and prep for the worst…Miracles do happen.

Fingers crossed. Good luck to u.

Thanks ! Bump plz!
