An interesting letter from Emory

Alright, today I got a letter from Emory which states "Thank you for the interest you have shown in Emory University by having your standardized test results sent to us. Your self-reported class performance and test scores indicate that you are probably the kind of student who has traditionally enrolled at Emory and done well."

Does this mean they've already begun reviewing my materials and think that I am a good fit for their college? Or is this nothing more than a "Thank you for sending us your SAT scores" letter that they just send to everyone? Thanks.

I received the same letter. I think it's a typical "thanks for applying" letter. I mean, I won't get my hopes up.

Ditto - my s received a letter like that awhile back (he applied early because of the Emory Scholar program).

i got that before i spent in my app. it just tells u they received ur test scores. nothing more

As I recall, my S received such letter when his file was opened up. Pro forma letter.
