<p>I just recently decided to apply for US colleges. And I'm not quite sure where I stand...
So plz help..where should I apply???</p>
<p>so:</p>
<p>Female, Eastern European
TOEFL 300/300
also: Cambridge CPA exam (proficiency exam), got an A
Lived on NZ for a year</p>
<p>possible major: biophysics, molecular biology, physics</p>
<p>A highly competitive school, average SAT score of students who applied for US over 1450
Done calculus (4 years), geometry(2years), bio(2 years), chemistry(3 years), history, geography& psychology (2 years),programming(4 years), philosophy, sociology (1 year)..and...aghhh.. well it's a different edu system but all As.</p>
<p>State physics competitions(2000-2005), 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronzes
member of the school team for the general knowledge competition, silver at the state competition 2003 </p>
<p>French(3 years) 4/6 DAF exam, had 92%
Spanish(2 years)
German(1 year course, but good speaking skills as I have German origins)</p>
<p>school debate club, probably one of the coordinators next year
school government, possibly the president next year when I'm a senior
representing the school in the city high school government</p>
<p>sailing (8 years), state champ (2000-2003), hopefully this year as well, but it's not like it's one of the top sports right here :-(
snow-boarding: should be able to get an instructor's license by December
scuba diving PAD 2 (int. diving exams)
volleyball (3 years), school team captain</p>
<p>flamenco dancing(1 year)</p>
<p>-volunteered for OEBS (about 1 year), helping out refugee kids with school and teaching them English
-planning to volunteer for red cross ( so probably ..say..7-8 months by the time I apply)
-member of an organization which educates the youth on AIDS issues</p>
<p>-summer school(English) in the UK, twice
-debate camps</p>
<p>Probably some of those things aren't really important...But I'm not really sure what kind of things you should actually say.</p>
<p>I'm planning to apply for UK and Switzerland as well...but would REALLY like to go to US...so...:-)</p>
