An Ivy HOOK?

hey all,

Is being the founder and head editor of a weekly newsletter at my Jewish community considered a hook for the Ivies? This newsletter is about 1 page long and deals with news in the Global Jewish World. I have been doing this for about 2 years, and the newsletter is widely read and highly esteemed by head figures in my community.

It was very very easy to do (I just wrote a few paragraphs and sent it to my Rabbi for printing every week), so I never even considered putting this as an EC, but now I’m thinking it might even be a hook!

Could it?

You should list it on your application. Meanwhile, I think it's interesting, but not remarkable enough to be considered a hook at the Ivy level, where journalism hooks probably mean that a person is doing things at the truly professional level or has won a major award or caused a major change in the community because of investigative journalism at the student level.

bump.................

I don't mean to sound rude, but you have asked the same question/ variations on the same question many times in the space of a week or so. Perhaps you should just keep it to just one chances thread, instead of multiple ones, and one hook thread as well. No offense.

Orrican, either you have a real hook or you don't. If only one could manufacture an ivy hook.....

... one would make billions off of selling it to overindulged children of rich backgrounds.
