When I think of the typical college campus, I consider images like tucked away Dartmouth or sunny/chilly Cornell. The college-scene archetypes.

Of course, urban universities are probably just as insanely dreamy and exciting in their own ways. So, here's a random, open question: Sleek Columbia v. Down-to-earth UPenn v. Gothic UChicago? And out of curiosity, why?

Good luck for tomorrow--keeping fingers and toes all crossed!

In terms of campus, I’d choose Columbia. I hate Gothic and I’m not a fan of UPenn’s layout. The neoclassical Columbian style is pretty nice and refined, and he campus is pretty small and compartmentalized so it’s convenient to get to class. As far as location, NO QUESTION. New York is much more interesting and dynamic a city than Chicago or Philly. Good luck.

New York is interesting yes, but Columbia’s campus is essentially a square with buildings on it. I prefer bigger campuses such as Northwestern, that are still very close to a city but have a proper campus feel.
