<p>in my country there isn't a cult or obsession for essay writing. can anyone tell what an "analytical or critical essay" means? Is the essay you're asked to write in the Writing subject test a "critical or an analytical essay" ?</p>

<p>Just a one page essay on a topic that they asked you to do in school. Perhaps a literary review or something for social sciences classes. I know one of the colleges I am applying asks that Pushkin propmt, I am not sure which one though; since I have yet to start doing all the essays.</p>
