lol i love how collegeboard says they're a non profit company. just makes me laugh.

Haha, they can call themselves whatever they want. Not like any one of us is going to believe that nonsense.

They are non profit. Non profit doesn't mean that their services are free. It just means that after everything is accounted for ( salary, pay, mailing, services, developing tests, graders etc) their profit goes down to 0.

i think non-profit means that their company isn't on the stock market but yah same ol same ol'. i'm pretty sur on paper their profit is 0 too

GlueEater is right, Collegeboard technically doesn't make financial profit.
It also has tax benefits from being a "non-profit".

Denneyk, there are for-profit companies in this world that aren't listed in the stock market. E.g. basically any mom & pop store that isn't a franchise.

I think you are thinking of public/private denneyk.

um, i have a question.

while i was taking my ap exam and filling out stuff, i remembered that on saturday i dont think i wrote down my info on the booklet...how terribly bad is that??

=[

yes. thats the booklet where i wrote my essay....

=[

Eh, I don't know if they'll know it's your essay if you didn't write your ID number or name on it.

mannn! friggin proctor!

she had us all busy filling out the questionaire she didnt say anything about the booklet! ugh.

=[

don't freak out, you want to be taking an easy class like workload english during your first quarter at davis. it makes it much more enjoyable-- i overloaded myself fall quarter frosh year and completely messed up... take a light load.

fooshy

I checked the AP catalog, but I'm a little confused about what score I need to have to receive credit for Statistics. Will I still get credit if I get a 3 on the exam?

Haha, after paying for the exam online, I slept in that morning... so I never took it. How exciting to get to take a test right when I get to Davis...

Hey i was wondering if you did not pass the AWPE then would you retake it in welcome week?

so does everyone have to take a chem placement exam?

10001: Students can only take the AWPE once; so if you did not satisfy the ELWR by passing the AWPE then you must looking the other ways of satisfying the requirement.

denneyk: Students who are planning to register for the chemistry series must complete the Chemistry placement exam. Please see UC Davis Orientation - Freshmen Placement Tests for more information.

How can we know the score that we got on the test? I only got an letter stating that I passed the test, but not the score I got.

Passing and satisfying the requirement or not passing and needing to still meet the requirement are the only important results of the exam. The score a student receives, if the exam is even scored on a grading system besides p/np is trivial.
