So I know I still have a while to think about this, but I'm a sophomore and I'm not sure if I want to take Anatomy and Physiology or APES next year. I would rather take Anatomy as far as classes go, I had the Anatomy teacher for Biology my freshman year and really liked her, however Anatomy doesn't count as a lab science, it counts as a Science Elective (I'm not really sure what that means so somebody please tell me) and colleges like to see 3 years of a lab science usually. I'm not planning on going into a science or majoring in any sciences, and I'm definitely not going to take Anatomy and APES (or any other science) at the same time, because I don't like Science enough for that. (I'm considering taking AP Chemistry, but my school only offers that class when there is enough people who want to take it which is only every few years, and there's no way I'm self studying if they don't offer it next year) So what should I do? I took Biology my Freshman year and I'm taking regular Chemistry this year.

I’m taking anatomy and physiology this year as a sophomore and to be honest it probably will only be interesting or worth while if you have some interest in science. It’s an elective and not a core course and it’s usually taken for people who are interested in the medical field in some way. Since it seems like you don’t have an interest in science I would advice you not to take the class and just go on and take APES, because at least then you can receive ap credits.

Thanks a lot!

I can’t speak to APES, but I can tell you that if you aren’t genuinely interested in science, don’t take anatomy. It’s very challenging, especially to juniors, and only would be a good class for someone who is serious about that kind of thing.

just take APES next year and anatomy senior year…
