Hi. I am new here. I have a situation. I am a high school student taking college classes, and wondering if I should take anatomy as a college class or a high school class. I have most of my credits already, but I am having a difficult time deciding whether I want to take anatomy at my high school or college. I alreayd plan on taking more college classes next year and over summer, and I only need my last science, math, and social studies credit. I just want to know which one will be wiser. I don’t plan on having a career in any science class, but I really am interested in learning this science class.
If you want the information (hurray) and don’t plan on a science major, then take the class to complete a graduation requirement for high school graduation requirement.
High school, since you don’t want to major in bio or be pre-med or a nurse…
Make sure you have reached precalculus/calculus in math and level 3, or 4 in foreign language, and have 4 units each in history/social science and English.
High school graduation requirements are a minimum but aren’t enough for the colleges with the best financial aid.
Have you already taken some level of bio, chemistry, and physics? You should have all 3 if possible before college. If you’ve done that, then it is fine to take it now. And it would definitely be harder in college.
I agree…for science make sure you take Bio, Chem and Physics first. Take Anatomy as an elective. I would suggest HS since you don’t need it for a future major…it would be difficult in college and you may not want that much memorization.
