And I was wrong about the CALS Bio Req.

My friend was able to finish a final early, so she called the office this morning. The office also emailed her a note about the issue which I am posting here:

Thank you for your interest in the College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences at Cornell University. Your score of 4 on your AP Bio will
only fulfill the Biology I requirement. We would recommend that you
talk to your advisor to see if you would be able to take Bio II at
your current institution. You may have to waive 4 of the credits
that you received. If you are not able to fulfill the Bio II
requirement, you can apply, but you will have a stronger application
with all the requirements either complete or in progress at the time
you apply. Other options include taking Bio II at a local community
college over the summer. If you decide to pursue this, you can
include a letter stating your intentions to complete the requirements
over the summer.

The course requirements is one factor that we consider when we review
applications to transfer. Again, you can apply without completing
the requirements and we will review all of your other courses as well
as your fit to the major that you are intending to apply. If you
have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our
office. Thank you.

Sorry for the earlier confusion. I thought I was a pretty good detective, but I guess not. Again, sorry for tripping anyone up, but this is a pretty definitive answer.

Make sure you are either signed up in/for the Bio 1 and 2 classes or have the AP Bio credit (5) or state to Cornell your definite intention of taking the class in a supplementary manner (i.e. junior college during the year or summer school) before entering your desired semester.
