And just for the record... protesting the Old Navy commercial!

Why oh why would you have a national commercial featuring Alabama clothing when you have no intention of carrying it in your stores?
Broke my heart <3

I agree. Saw the commercial, went out the next day to store. Nothing. Thought is was just since I was in TN so I went online–only kids stuff and a sweatshirt. Weird…

Yeah but them mocking auburn by making their fan the pizza delivery guy was great.

The Bama guy has the nice family, friends, house etc etc… while the auburn guy delivers pizza for a living.

Commercials don’t get any more true to life than that :-)

Same problem in FL… We went to Old Navy and they had one shirt with Bama on it. Nothing but Gators everywhere else. Bummer!

Each Old Navy carries the clothing of local teams. For the Tuscaloosa Old Navy store, that is Oklahoma, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Alabama.

I was surprised that there was not a larger selection of Alabama clothing and that what was offered was realatively expensive ($19.94 for an adult t-shirt and $39.94 for an adult sweatshirt).

I was in Houston when I saw the commercial. At first it didn’t hit me because my tired brain thought I was in Alabama…but then I realized…I’m sitting in Texas and the Old Navy commercial is featuring Bama.

What a burn to UT and others…lol

^^^ Yep, we get the same commercial in the Chicago market as well. Roll Tide!

Aw, I was going to check it out this weekend. What a teaser.

I hadn’t seen the commercial, but found it on YouTube. Auburn pizza boy cracks me up. I think my husband would LOVE it if our garage looked like that  RTR!

Buy Old Navy Bama stuff online…and get 20% off over the next 2 days…

Did y’all hear about the other controversy associated with Old Navy’s new teamwear?

Just for the record…we sell Bama gear at ChampionUSA.com, too, and we spell it all correctly. ;)

^ Actually, this probably explains why the inventory’s not in a lot of stores right now. From the HuffPo article linked above:

UPDATE: Reps from Old Navy have contacted us, saying, “We’re sorry about the error in some of our SuperFan Nation graphic t-shirts. To ensure Old Navy customers can enjoy this collection fully, we’re replacing the faulty tees at our stores and online as soon as possible.”

I know for a fact that the Aubies are VERY upset about this commercial. The Auburn guy looks like a dork driving up in his Tigermobile! This does nothing to reassure them that the world is not out to get them.

Saw the commercial too and was disappointed not to be able to use my 20% off coupon today:(

I wondered if I am just more aware this year because my daughter is attending, or is Bama getting a lot of coverage:

And of course the Old Navy commercial…

^ Look at our Champion home page on 9/7. Just sayin’.

BTW, I was once recruited by Brookstone.

*I know for a fact that the Aubies are VERY upset about this commercial. *

Yes, I’m sure they are.

After winning the 2010 championship, they got very little attention/accolades. Immediately, sports began discussing 2011 season where Auburn isn’t expected to do well. This was shocking to them because after Bama won, it was Bama, Bama, Bama 24/7…even getting #1 ranking going into the next season.

And there was that earlier Roll Tide commercial that featured Bama that annoyed them, too. When that was playing, Auburn was #1, yet the ESPN Roll Tide commercial was playing nationwide.

Bama…it’s in the air.

The commercial has also been playing in the Seattle market for almost two weeks.

For the real reason why Alabama is featured in the commercial instead of Auburn (or Tennessee), one must remember a scene from the movie The Blind Side in which Sandra Bullock’s character proclaims “I will not wear that godawful orange.”
