<p>Thanks for all the fabulous ideas. I've also received several pm's, but am having technical difficulties in replying. I sent away for information (like we don't have enough catalogues for him to ignore) from several schools and showed him the article from Outdoor Magazine. And we had a breakthrough. He actually said that he loves camping and it will always be a hobby, but he wants to make sure that he has a school with really good academics.</p>
<p>I knew that when I hit a roadblock, there would be some really great ideas from so many of you. At the very least, I feel like I'm doing something. He didn't roll his eyes at me (the girls did) and we have the basics of a plan for spring break (1 of each school - big, medium, small) which he agrees is a "okay if we have to" - a major improvement over "this is so stupid". By then we'll have both SAT and ACT scores which will help us identify the schools to visit. Now I can drop it for a while and he can watch more football. </p>
