Hey everyone

My school uses a + - system so basically

an a is worth 4 ( 95-100)
a- 3.67 (91-94)
b+ - 3.33 ( 88-19)

and so forth

well most schools dont use this system.... and I was wondering if usc keeps the + and - on .. or if they take them off like the UCs

Thanks so much

USC keeps it.

Do they? I always thought otherwise. In any case, didn't matter for me because my HS did not give out pluses or minuses.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. From calculating my own GPA from OASIS grades, I figured out that an A- is worth 3.7, a B+ is worth 3.3, and so on.

At my HS, an A+, A, and A- are all worth 4.0.

At my HS, an A+, A, and A- are all worth 4.0

Oh man... I wish my school was like that

anyone know for sure?

OH! Are you guys talking about HS grades sent to USC? In that case, USC should not count +'s and -'s.

ahhahah yes... i should have been more clear

That would be great if they wouldnt

my school uses number grades and not letters to calculate my gpa. Will USC change my number grades to there respective letter grade and recalculate my gpa

Yes, they will.

thanks sfgiants, your like my unofficial tour guide to the usc admissions process

wait...

so yes or no to the + - thing... cuz it actually makes a difference in my gpa

No problem AJlax, glad I could help.

Chillin: The consensus (all of two people) seems to be that they won't count the pluses and minuses, but if you are particularly curious you can call and ask.

My school gives out + and -s. Still, it considers them like without the signs when calculating gpa. Will SC still use its "formula?" ie a- = 3.67 instead of 4.0, etc?
