And that, folks, is yet ANOTHER reason why it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!!!

Did you guys see that game last night? I couldn't see it in Dubai, but I was on the phone with a friend who lives in Charlotte and she was feeding me the plays as they were coming. And she was not alone. She was at a Michigan bar with at least another 100 Michigan faithful. Needless to say, we all broke in song when Manningham caught that last second pass from Chad. As you can see, it is great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

let's go blue!!!

It was an amazing moment... I was at a party and we turned to the game in time to see the last three plays; no one could have believed it would end the way it did.

8-3 could still win the big 10 lol

Michigan's only one game out from the Big Ten title.

That's hilarious.

How bout that hockey game against BC? That was a good win!

Michigna Hockey is amazing. I love it almost as much as Michigan Football. 20+ Frozen Four appearances and 9 National Championships! Talk about dominance. And yes, our win over BC was big. Beating BC is always special.

I do not think Michigan will win the Big 10 this year, even if we can somehow find a ways to win at Iowa and Northwestern (they did beat Wisconsin). But it can happen. Michigan has 2 losses and all Big 10 teams have at least 1 loss. PSU and Wisconsin are the only 2 Big 10 teams with 1 conference loss that we do not play going forward, so they are the ones we have to worry about. The other 1-loss teams (OSU, Iowa and Northwestrer), we play before the end of the season. PSU has to beat Purdue, Wisconsin and MSU. Wisconsin has to beat PSU, Purdue and Iowa. But we need not worry about how the others do...all we should worry about is how our team does!

If we win out, i'm sure we would win the big 10. We're Michigan, we always find a way to luck our way into winning the Big 10.

It's going to be an interesting race this year. Iowa isn't looking too good. Weren't too impressive against Indiana.

it'll be tough to get back to the rose bowl, though. isn't the tie-breaker whoever was sent to the rose bowl the longest time ago? michigan would definitely win that, so wouldn't everybody have to lose twice more?

Not really pooter. This year, the BCS National Title game will be played at the Rose Bowl, whbich means the winner of the Big 10 will have to play in another BCS Bowl, most likely the Orange or the Fiesta Bowl. The Orange Bowl and Fiesta Bowl do not have an agreement with the Big 10, so they would chose the team that would attract the most national attention. If Michigan wins out, and PSU and Wisconsin were to lose one more game each, I can almost guarantee you we would get a BCS Bowl invitation.

i got to sit in the student section last night. Man I want to go there so freakin bad

oh, that's good. i forgot the rose bowl was the national championship this year. michigan definitely attracts the most national attention, but this year maybe not for the reason they would've liked. hopefully they'll win out? iowa, northwestern, and ohio state will be tough, and even indiana is looking pretty good this year. but actually, bcs might choose penn state instead to give joe paterno one last chance. oh well, you never know.

I was fortunate enought to be at the game Saturday afternoon/evening and to me the most amazing thing was the absolute QUIET in the stadium just before they announced the replay review decision on the Penn State completion (ruled incomplete). It's an old saying, but you literally could hear a pin drop, and this in a stadium filled with 111,000 people.

Wisconsin is not that good--No D as we lost are entire D line to injuries. We'll lose a couple down the stretch.
PSU fans truly believe the Big 10 refs have it in for them.

Nevertheless this is the one area of the college experience that simply can't be duplicated at smaller schools. And the enjoyment lasts a lifetime. Impossible to put a value on that.

I'm really looking forward to the UM vs Ohio State game Nov 19. There is me, one of the very few who went to UM from my school, and everyone else from my school who is at OSU. WE MUST WIN!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't it look like we've been going in an apparent trend of W, L, W, L??? lol I hope the next game isn't a loss but who knows.

Alex the winner of the Big 10 will most likely NOT go to a bcs game. The only automatic bid we have is the rose bowl, and since that is the national title game, no big ten team will go. If you are in a bcs conference, you have to be ranked in the top 4 to get a bcs invite if you are not conference champion or your designated bowl is the national title game. If you are not in a bcs conference, you have to be ranked in the top 6. No big ten teams will be ranked in the top 4 at the end of the season.

I am not sure that is correct Nirvana. Doesn't each BCS Conference (ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big XII, Pac 10 and SEC) send one representative to a BCS bowl game? I think it is only the remaining 2 spots that are given out as you suggest above. If Michigan wins a share of the Big 10 title, it would mean that we would have finished our season by beating PSU and OSU. Given our popularity, I would say Michigan would be a favorite for a BCS Bowl.

I am so pumped for the UM vs. OSU game! You guys are going down ;)

Hey fellow Wolverines, I will be in Ann Arbor for the OSU game. I am flying down with my girlfriend for a 10 day vacation and will be in Ann Arbor for a couple of days. I would like to meet you guys if possible...maybe for a coffee or a snack. Let me know who's game.

Celebrian, Coach Carr's career hangs on the OSU game. You can be sure Michigan will be ready for you guys. I predict a close game that could go either way. It is going to be exciting.

Depends on if Zwick or Troy Smith play. Noone has worse field vision than Smith. If Zwick plays: OSU 24 Michigan 10 If Smith plays Michigan 27 OSU 13. OSU's secondary is average at best, so if Henne can establish the running game and some playaction down the field, Michigan has a great shot to win. This game is going to be higher scoring than most people think though. Michigan will be lucky to beat Iowa this week. Go Hawkeyes!

Big 10 Champ gains an automatic BCS berth. Its unlikely that any Big 10 teams will win an open spot this year though.
