<p>When I called Tufts, the person told me that the decision date is February 15th. My guidance counselor asked and received the same answer as well. I would love it to be earlier, but I guess it’s just time to wait.</p>

<p>Yes, I got that email, too. I decided to have my guidance counselor fax my first quarter grades up because my second quarter grades don’t come in until, actually, an hour from now. I’ll fax those up, too, on Monday, I suppose.</p>
<p>yeah i got the same email as well. the snow days really killed my school. i think we’ve had 6 so far? maybe 7? luckily my grades were in on time, but i had to nudge my teachers a bit. </p>
<p>and from poking around the threads a bit, it seems like the tufts admissions tells every one who calls its the 15th, which is understandable. but i feel like i’ve seen the decisions come out around the 8th. but how would i know! the record breaking number of applicants might change things…</p>
<p>If your mid-years aren’t with us by now, it’s a real problem. Please, please, get them to us as soon as you possibly can.</p>
<p>Addendum: unless they aren’t available, as is the case in some places because of snow or regular calendar issues. We have no choice but to be understanding of that.</p>
<p>Addendum MKII: We notify no later than February 15th. If you’ve called, and been told “February 15th,” the person with whom you are speaking is reflecting this commitment.</p>
<p>How do we let Tufts know why my (including others) mid years are coming in late? Mine get published Monday due to snow days and I don’t want Tufts Admissions to think i’m lazy or etc. Or is Tufts Admissions staff understanding of the fact that there is reason for late mid years this year given the weather?</p>
<p>My kid found the Admissions Officer assigned to our state/region to be helpful in answering questions like this by email.</p>
<p>If I sent in my first quarter grades is that alright? I just got my report card for my second quarter grades today, and the soonest the can be faxed up is by Monday. I have already faxed my first quarter grades. If not, should I inform the Admissions Office?</p>

<p>Dan, my son’s school is on a block-scheduling system and their first-semester grades were sent to Tufts (per our guidance counselor). These grades came out in early January. He forwarded the email requesting grades by the 28th this to his college counselor and was told he is “all set” as his first semester grades had already been sent. Is this correct or do you need his first-quarter, second semester grades? This would be an estimate, I guess as mid term for second quarter is in about three weeks and the school doesn’t sent an “official” quarter report, but we were told his grades at Family Weekend yesterday. I feel these grades would be beneficial as the are very good. His fall semester grades were not as good because he had surgery in October which impacted his grades.</p>

<p>Lots and lots and lots of schools all over the country are in this position. We know what’s going on, and we’re understanding. Though, really, even if we weren’t understanding, we don’t have much of a choice in the matter. We’ve already started calling schools for students missing midyears, and so if your school cannot provide them, we’ll be told. </p>
