^Ah. I see. I guess my thoughts were pre-empted by my neighbor’s comments last night, about how it’s about time to vacuum (!) his Malamute to help him take off his winter coat. (I DID realize that you were referring to looking “cut” versus getting a “cut” after the second read! But it did make me laugh, envisioning you shedding your fur each spring, and this year, just in time for college! No wonder you want to move south!)

Good luck to you, BigKev, and to everybody else as well!

Family left home at 5:30 pm tonight for various destinations (hockey practice, meetings, etc.). At that time, there was no mail in our mailbox, so we assumed that no news meant bad news. We got home 3 hours later to find our mailbox full of mail – including the large white envelope from USC!!! He got in to the School of Cinematic Arts for Interactive Entertainment. Not sure he will attend, but great to be admitted! Oh, I forgot to mention that we are in the LA area.

The Acceptance Package arrived in Austin TX today. Wow. 35,000 applicants for 2,600 spots. Quite an accomplishment for my daughter.

Alas, no mention of a scholarship. Am I correct in assuming that the scholarship would have been mentioned if awarded? All the others have been, but for all I know California has some weird law saying it has to be delivered in a separate pink envelope. :)

Looks like d will be heading to TCU Honors College. Good as USC may be, it ain’t worth full freight for this Dad.

I got my acceptance packet today and I’m in southern central Florida (right outside of Tampa) For further reference, I’m Annenberg, my status is still stuck on that “being reviewed” message and I applied the very night the application was due (haha oops…)

Congrats to all who were accepted (yay!) and to all of those rejected, I wish you the best of luck at whatever school you end up at. Things happen for a reason and I’m sure you’ll love wherever you go, but don’t give up! I thought for sure I wouldn’t be accepted, and was planning on a transfer, so transferring or appealing is a great option if your heart is set on USC. :)

D REJECTED from San Diego. Thought so yesterday when no big envelope came; confirmed today. Pretty disappointed, but not crushed. Accepted to UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCSC; UCSD. Will attend UCSD in bioengineering. Perhaps grad school at USC? Good luck everyone.
