And the Waiting Games begin...(cue dramatic music)

So I'm not sure this is the best forum to put this in (but since MIT is the most recent application I've submitted I figured it would be most appropriate), but who wants to help me make the time pass until mid December?

I know there's nothing I can do about my application at this point and there's really no point in stressing out over it, but for some reason, freaking out with fellow neurotic overachieving students on CC just makes everything so much better :)

SO. Who is already impatient about hearing back about MIT/other submitted applications?

Here is a nice procedure you can follow meanwhile:

Sleep.

Wake up. Eat.

Go to school if there is school. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

Go back to step 1.

i have a 3.8 gpa and a 2401 on my sat’s what are my chances at this college/university

It is quite unpredictable. I think you are a unique applicant, but I’m not sure how the MIT officer would see you. The 2401 could indicate a variety of things to them. I doubt they have any prior data on how 2401ers perform in college.

If you live near MIT and have some time tomorrow, here’s a fun event to pass the time: [MIT Museum: Programs - Friday After Thanksgiving](<a href=“MIT Museum Homepage | MIT Museum”>MIT Museum Homepage | MIT Museum)

I think that you have done a great step, you are gonna compete with the best USA’s students. What can you do until december? Just relax.

I think that being a MIT rejected applicant is cool; being a MIT student is better. Your university will not change your future, what I mean is that if you are a great mind, you will become a great man in every university.

Einstein graduated in Zurich, not at MIT.
