Will the acceptance package for Andover ARRIVE on the 9th this year?? I can't find any information, so if anyone knows anything at all, please share. I live in New Jersey (not sure if it makes a difference since it is Fedex, but who knows).

Glad you made this thread-- kind of wondering the same thing.
Ok, so I THINK that if you got accepted, then the send you fedex and if you were rejected/waitlisted, then you get regular mail. So I have heard people say that the fedex acceptanced will arrive on March 9, but the regular mails are only mailed on march 9 and they probably won’t arrive until the next week (since the 10th is a sunday and regular mail will take longer). I’ve heard a lot of different things, though.

So, if I don’t get anything from Andover on March 9, then I was PROBABLY waitlisted or rejected.

Come on guys. don’t worry too much about it. Just because whatever you ordered online doesn’t come the EXACT day you thought it would have, doesn’t mean your item will never arrive. To be honest, when does mail ever come on time when you’re waiting for it? it sucks, but it pretty much never does. Your package could arrive on the 11th and you could be accepted. I know it’s hard to wait; I’m freaking out too. You’ll find out eventually and good luck to both of you!

keisha404- Haha, it’s hard to control the emotions…but thanks!

abcabc333- Okay, thanks for the info!

Its technically supposed to arrive on the 9th if its an acceptance, but don’t stress out if it doesn’t- it may be delayed for a multitude of reasons!

If you are the kind of person that is counting down the hours until M9, like me, and wish to know about your Andover Acceptance before M9, you can call FEDEX on M8. Last year, Andover mailed out their decisions around 7pm, so you can try calling FEDEX after that time on M8. Ask if there is a package coming from Andover to your address.

HOWEVER, let me stress that this is not always reliable. Do not hysterically cry because they say there isn’t a package, or get elated because they said there is. FEDEX can make mistakes.

Then again, maybe just wait until M9. FEDEX Standard Overnight Shipping apparently arrives by 3:00 pm or so.

OH NO THAT’S IN 64 HOURS!! (obviously I won’t be able to wait…)

Hahaha I would but the tension would kill me!!! Im just going to sketch until the day comes!!!

dont worry, everybody calm down. From the information i have gleaned from the fabulous internets, I believe that they send all messages (acceptance, rejected, waitlistings) onthe ninth. SEND them. Also, there is a period of time (I forget what, five daysish) that the Andover people may have screwed up, and at the end of the period (again, blanking on the date) you can call admissions to ask. So dont worry. dont stress. If you dont get a package that day, it doesnt mean you are a horrible candidate, and your application profile was thrown away violently by admissions people. Good Luck All!

Lol pandrec2 xD

Don’t think you haven’t got accepted if your package arrives later than some peoples! There are often delays and it may well depend on where you live.

Lol exactly! someone posted a link to how to find out if you’re in the same-day delivery zone, if I fid it I’ll repost it here! :)

Oh and even if you are and it doesn’t come saturday, its okay just give it a couple more days.

thankyou jackpa!

Not to complicate things but those transit times for FedEx are GROUND, i.e., in trucks. Unlikely that Andover is using FedEx Ground, which would take 5 days to get to the West Coast. More likely they use FedEx overnight and send them on Friday to arrive on Saturday across the whole country. But, FedEx charges more for Saturday delivery so it is very possible that they will use USPS Express Mail instead on Friday to arrive on Saturday. At any rate, there is no guarantee that everyone hears acceptance on Saturday.

@Chathan you make a good point, but Andover uses FedEx for delivery every year, and they used it last year for Saturday delivery. So no, it is not even a slight possibility of them using USPS…

Andover just confirmed on their admissions Facebook page that decisions would be sent out on Saturday, so they will most likely arrive Monday.

I repeat, it all depends on where you live!

does andover email you with decisions? Iknow exeter does. Phillips solidarity?
