<p>After careful deliberaton, the Admission Committe was not able to return a favorable decision on you application. Therefore, I regret to inform you that we are unaple to offer you admission to Phillips Academy.</p>
<p>I wish to thank you for your interest in Andover and recognize the time and effort you put into the admission process. You may be certain your application was considered with great care. With so many applicants and so few openings, the Admission Committee was forced to turn away many fine and talented young people.</p>

<p>My daughter received her FedEx package between the hours of 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM. I know that because that is the time I was gone from the house. We live in NC.</p>
<p>PS They say in the letter that they had 2300 applicants.</p>

<p>Andover - Charlotte = 14 hours 25 minutes</p>
<p>Andover - my town = 12 hours 40 minutes</p>
<p>Although depending on where you live in NC, you could be closer to Andover than me. I live about 45 minutes from Detroit, so maybe being close to a city has something to do with it? haha im pathetic</p>

<p>Yes, that is what happened. And I was SURE that she would get into Williston, and Andover would be extremely difficult. Just goes to show you, that you never know what can happen. She definitely has the right stats for Andover, but so do hundreds of other applicants. One thing going for her though, she has faced many challenges in her young life, and she has come through with shining colors. I am so proud of her, and so pleased that the admissions office of Andover (and the other schools that accepted her and waitlisted her as well) see her promise.</p>
<p>Congrats Brooklyn Guy on your niece's acceptance to Andover! She must be a very special young lady. Also, how wonderful of you to take the time and energy to help her out. She's lucky to have you!</p>

<p>Got andover (regular mail), waiting list. It says there are 25 waiting list for each grade.</p>
<p>Also got loomis (regular mail too), accepted !!!!!!!</p>
