My friend heard that applicants from Andover are often brought back for a second interview after they submit their Candidate Profile. Is this true? And for those students at Andover right now- did this happen to you?

I would doubt that something like this would be true. The admissions office is already extremely busy with the regular interviews that a second set would be nearly impossible.

It’s a huge undertaking for most candidates to get there once. This doesn’t seem plausible. Maybe they might call if there were questions about something or missing information, but I cannot imagine a second formal interview.

This seems extremely unlikely and I’ve never heard of such a thing at any school. Why would they do this?

I was just with my friend and he said he heard they do this b/c each interviewer will react differently to a candidate. But idk, it seems kinda unlikely that they would do this at all.

This is a most unlikely scenario due to distance and time constraints for most applicants.

Yep - the sheer numbers would be overwhelming. I could, however, see them doing this for a small subset of students who are on the fence - or if there is reason to believe the first interview was flawed. It might mean the difference between a yes and a waitlist.
