I was lucky enough to be accepted to these 4 schools. I have set revisit days, but already feel it is going to be a very, very tough decision. What are the main strengths and weaknesses of these schools relative to each other? Thank you.

Congrats! Excellent result. When have you receoved Deerfield decision? Have they mailed it on Friday? ANyone else got DA decision in mail?

Nothing from Deerfield yet.

No Deerfield here either.

Just posted similar question as prowrest. Totally confused about the ‘soft’ cultural perspectives which differentiates the schools. What does 'PAA and PEA are pressure cookers really mean? Or, Deerfiled and Choate are more ‘nurturing’?

Really lucky to be in a position to ask these questions, but feeling even more inadequate as I don’t have any good answers!!!

I was also accepted to 4 schools (all the ones I applied to) Groton (my 1st choice), Choate, Hotchkiss, and Porter’s. I was wondering what is Choate “known” for besides being Kennedy’s school? (don’t get me wrong I like choate a lot) :)

WHERE did you sign up for revisit dayss??? at choate?

manatee1258 - look in GoChoate for information on the revisit days. Or you can contact the Admission Department and they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

manatee1258 - Choate is known for its signature programs as well.

The Science Research Program is a program where 16 selected kids are able to work on an experiment, perform labs, and work with real doctors. Students get the real lab experience needed for perusing a science career.

The Arts Concentration Program also known as ArtsCon is a program dedicated for those who are interested in the performing or visual arts. Students also need to apply for this program after their first year at Choate.

Choate also has a very strong athletics program!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
