andover/exeter/deerfield?

I am applying to the schools above.
What are my chances?
Straight As
Duke TIP National Grand Honor roll
State MATHCOUNTS
All-state clarinetist
4th in florida for 2 events in swimming-200 fly and 1500 free

What are your SSAT scores?

i haven’t taken them yet, but my practice tests have been coming out to be 2260-2310

I am also taking Algebra 2 and AP Physics at the local high school

The numerical score (2260-2310) will be converted to a percentile score. This is the score that the adcoms pay attention to. Andover and Exeter have the highest SSAT score averages (93-95 percentile I believe). I think Deerfield is slightly lower.

If your SSAT scores are within the range, then it will turn to how much of an impact you can make on the campus. Swimming and music seems good, but a lot will depend on how many other swimmers and musicians will be applying this year.

Have you approached the swim coaches? Do you need financial aid?

I haven’t talked to the swim coaches yet. Thank you for the advice!

This is from my candidate profile, if that helps:

Your swimming stats look pretty impressive. Looks like you will have a good shot at most of these schools. Keep in mind that most of these schools like to have athletes that can play varsity at 2 different sports. Swimming you can clearly cover, but what about your second sport? What about Water Polo?

Definitely contact the coach ahead of time, and arrange a meeting during your interview.

Do you need financial aid? Unfortunately this will be a tipping point in whether or not you are offered admission.Of the schools you listed, only Andover is need blind

I am good at cross country. I represented my school for mile runs and whatnot, but I don’t do it as a dedicated sport.
And yes, I do need financial. Thanks for the advice!

You have a chance… but how are you taking Algebra 2 and AP physics at a local high school? You would have to be in high school altogether. Just letting you know, if you are ( and I’m not saying you are) fluffing up your application, they will see right through it and it’s a big turn off for them. Be honest about your application. Plus, your application means nothing if you don’t do well on your interview. And the ssat scores are not that important. I have got on the waitlist for Exeter and SPS, two of the top prep schools, with a score of 2100. Plus, I have ties to these schools and know what they really look for. I’m reapplying this year, but best of luck to you!

Also, send a recording 6-10 mins in length of your playing, and your swimming. The playing has to be FLAWLESS.

Our Algebra 2 teacher at the high school set us up for AP Physics.
Thank you so much for the advice! It really helped!

I got my SSAT scores back:
Total: 2241/2400 (95% total, 96% females)
800/800 on the Quantitative (99%)
749/800 on the Verbal (92%)
692/800 on the Reading Comprehension (75%)

I am in the 8th grade.
What are my chances for the schools listed above?
(I have SSATs later, but practice scores have been coming out to be around 2260-2300)
