Andover got 3029 completed apps this year

And the number is slightly lower than last year when it was 3154. So the recent rumor of the spike in app # this year is largely unfounded.

Wow! Do you know how many spots they have to fill from those 3029?

do you think this year’s acceptance rate wil be higher? (makes me feel with more possibilities though we all know desicions had already been taken!)

@kymomndad I did the calculations somewhere… Hold on.

Okay back. About 340~ as per their website
[Phillips Academy -](http://www.andover.edu/Admission/Pages/FrequentlyAskedQuestions.aspx)

@SharingGift, that may be untrue for Andover, but SPS did receive a record number of applicants. If we were to average all the number of apps of all the schools compared to last year, I believe their would be a spike. But Andover, individually, did not receive a greater amount so that claim is unfounded.

Actually, many other schools have received a record number of completed applications this year.

@Keisha404 which schools?

402 got accepted, so it’s 13.3% this year!

@SharingGift, how do you know such voodoo?

SharingGift has insider’s knowledge, LOL. :D

Andover’s twitter?

I also read that it was 402! It’s on their talk about blog.

Where are people reading these magic things

where can I find that?

if you go to andover admissions, on the left it says “Talkabout Blog”. Just click on that

Oh… I’ll look at it :D

Here it is!

It’s terrible because our fates are already sealed, but we can’t know what they are yet! It’s like staring at the presents under the tree, except when you open your present there might be nothing in it :(

:d keep positive (im fighting for it!)

@CellyZ dude you gotta have a talk with your parents if they’re wrapping empty boxes.

@PxAlaska: You should go talk to the schools since they’re wrapping “empty” boxes as well. In fact, they do it every year-encourage many to apply, get their hopes up, and then send then a rejection/waitlist letter.
