Anyone here attend Andover Summer Session? What's it like? It is a good "prep" for boarding school life? Are the classes easy or challenging?

Did you apply for FA for the SS? It says on their website they don't give full scholarships. If you went with FA, how much was your grant? (If you don't mind sharing). I would need FA to attend, and depending on how much they give me, I might not be able to attend. All help is appreciated!

I attended Andover last summer(I ended up in the brochure! Haha). I absolutely loved it and I was not on FA. It was honestly the best 5 weeks of my life and I loved my classes and roommate and the whole experience. I would say the challenge of the classes all depend on what you take. I took International Relations and Geometry so I was kept busy with hw but there were others who had an easier course load. Some nights I was up until 1 am due to hw so yes it’s a good prep for what boarding school might be like. I still remember sitting in our common room celebrating birthdays, watching the Olympics and the Euro Cup, coming in soaking wet because it was raining when we came back from the dances, and playing ping pong. The weekend and college trips were amazing and I would suggest going to at least one. I went to all college trips and weekend trips and thoroughly enjoyed them. The town of Andover is amazing and we went almost three times a week to CVS, Starbucks, and the yogurt place because it was so convenient when classes were over. Everyone was extremely welcoming, even though some people were in MS^2 it didn’t seem like they were in a different program, because we were all like one big family(as cliche as it sounds). No one really noticed anyone’s age because we all lived together( I was in Nathan hale one of the biggest dorms) my friends were seniors, juniors, and more, it was honestly a life changing experience. If you have anymore questions feel free to pm me.
