Angry about RSI

One of the RSI people that I emailed told me that US permanent residents cannot apply to RSI. Did she misunderstand what I asked or is that actually true? You HAVE to be a US Citizen if you are applying from within the US to RSI?

If so, I think that's just ticked offI am a US Permanent Resident, and I've worked very hard on the application and essays, and then all of a sudden, I get a sudden shock like this?

Predator, I'm really sorry to hear that!

I don't mean to make you feel even worse, but the website did say to e-mail RSI if you are not a US citizen.

It is very unfortunate that you have already done your application. The only thing I can say is that it might in the future help with your college application/other competitive activities.

I don't know whether she made a mistake or not at this point, but do you mind stating your nationality? While some nations are allowed to participate, others (like Canada) can't.

Can't you apply through your country of origin?

This happened to my friend also (from NY). The RSI people called her and said although she would've been qualified, they had to reject her because she isn't a citizen.

I am a citizen of India, permanent resident of US.
