Angry AP Gov teacher

I feel your anger. As a HS senior who's taken numerous AP/IB courses over the years, there are teachers like your AP gov. teacher. Believe me, they are everywhere lol

But teachers just plain don't like their students confronting or even discussing about their teaching method. To them it's their profession, what they do for living. So no matter how bad the kids feel about it, they're pretty damn confident that they know what they're doing.

The close friend of mine had similar problem with her TOK (IB thoery of knowledge) teacher. Her teaching was boring and her grading was outragously subjective and inconsistent. She was mad cuz she wasn't getting the grade she thought she deserved.. (newspaper editor/debate captain was getting C/D in a course where all kids do is discuss and write). She tried harder than anyone yet failed to succeed in terms of grade.

Her mom got mad as well.. they tried to talk to teacher about it, but it resulted in teacher getting revengeful on her. So they went to principal, and ended up going to school board about it. Nothing really changed tho except the teacher was furious at her for the remainder of the year, and the other teachers started to act weird around her. (Teachers talk, and they don't really take student's side in the matters like this).

I feel your pain, and it does suck to have a class like that. But I suggest you use this as a trigger and just do well in his class I guess. Show him you don't need him to do well in the class. But just don't confront him about it. It's for your own good. Some ppl are just plain jerks and they listen to NOBODY, I tell you. You'll be out of there soon, and you don't want to risk anything when you're so close to ending that madness.

Good luck to you in your class and hope things will get better :D
