<p>You’re talking about this kid like he was fresh out of the womb and the father was beating up an infant.</p>
<p>Do you have any idea what a 15-year old can look like? There’s no one right answer because there are so many different 15-year olds, but they are clearly within the “if he’s in my house at 4 am, I will beat him away because he could hurt my family/pull a knife on me” range.</p>
<p>They call him a “boy” because he’s under 18 and legally a minor. Notice how as soon as people turn 18, the news refers to them as “men” and “women”, even though I know a lot of so-called-adults in the 18-24 range I would most definitely not refer to as “men” or “women”.</p>
<p>I also agree with the father here; he was totally in the clear.</p>
