Animation Career - What major would this lie in?

<p>I'm trying to pursue a career in multimedia arts/animation. What major would it fall under? Art? Or would it just be animation? I've done some research and I couldn't find a CSU/UC that offers a degree in animation, but I've found that many art schools do. However, I'm planning to attend a CSU/UC and I don't know what major to choose. And what colleges (in California) would offer the best? Also, if I did choose art as the major, would that mean I just take animation classes in that department? </p>

<p>P.S., I'm a junior in high school. If that matters.</p>

<p>Fullerton offers a BFA in entertainment art/animation. Look at the csu Fullerton website in the art department.</p>

<p>Chico State has a BFA in electronic arts with a computer animation track. I think you just have to dig deeper into the CSU and UC art department websites to find information on animation.</p>
