Anime?

I like to watch subbed because I feel like Japanese seiyuus can do more interesting voices than English voice actors. Currently I keep up with Fairy Tail and am (trying) to watch Chrono Crusade.

Nothing beats a Miyazaki movie. I didn’t really like Spirited Away compared to his other movies. I have watched Mononoke like 5 times which is pretty good for someone with no patience.

Other favorites: Code Geass (love the character development and how they mix morality into the story - you would not believe how many times I used themes from code geass in essays), SnK, FMA Brotherhood, Gintama (funniest ever, though even less character development than One Piece).

Watching the new SAO and hoping they don’t mess up the ending. SAO 1 had so much potential and I hope this new season is great.

@LAMuniv ikr Avatar the last airbender is the best!! Korra was ok, I’m liking the new season more than 1 and 2.

IKR him being the chosen is so cliche.

@ErenJaeger‌ Yaasss another AtLA fan  I actually liked season 1 the best so far, but season 3 is pretty great as well. I am a socialist and inequality-related-issues are generally of interest to me, so I thought the whole Equalist/Amon idea was so interesting.

I had really mixed feelings about season 2 - I thought it provided necessary explanations, but it was a bit of a departure from the traditional “feel” and themes of the AtLA and the first season of Korra. That being said, I LOVED the episodes featuring Wan, and I literally burst into tears when Uncle Iroh came back in that one episode. I was freaking out, haha. I was actually lucky enough to be at NYCC for the screenings of the Wan episodes (I honestly can’t remember if they showed just the first one or both… but either way, it was great).

So you guys never saw Dragon Ball Z Kai? Lol and it’s on every Saturday.

@LAMuniv Season one was interesting but it came after AtLA so my expectations were through the roof and also I felt that everything was kinda everywhere (soo much going on - Pro Bending, Backstory of mako/bolin, korra learning airbending, korra being the avatar, asami backstory, amon backstory) and the ending was abrupt. So basically good premise needed to be longer. Then again I saw that about everything

Season 2 felt like it needed to happen but the movie short parts were annoying and felt like filler. Nonetheless glad I watched it. Any later in the series and it would have been too late for backstory of that type imo.

Season 3 Is like back to the typical villian thing which is a nice break. Not as thought provoking, sure. Still interesting and exciting. (Spoiler) I was watching it with some friends and when we heard Azula’s voiceactor’s voice we freaked out!

Some of my favorites are:
-Steins;Gate
-Puella Magi Madoka Magica (main TV series and Rebellion)
-Noragami
-FMA Brotherhood
-Monogatari series
-Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Naruto has too many annoying characters and plot holes for my taste. Same with SAO, except SAO has a lot more BS.
