My friend goes to UMich (loves it!) and is turning 21 this May. I want to get her a gift card to a popular restaurant around campus but one that might be a little more expensive than where college students would typically go. She doesn't have a car, so it would be great if this place was within walking distance of one of the campuses. Thanks so much for your help!

the chophouse is somewhat decent.

Chophouse is good, walkable too. Certainly more expensive than where college students would typically go, lol.

cottage inn pizza hahaha that place has the bestttt pizza.

(i’m slightly biased though because i eat pizza all day every day for every meal sooo)

The Earle Uptown is also decent. But Chop House has the best atmosphere.

The Earle Uptown went out of business.

The Ann Arbor foodie scene is not great for as hip a town Ann Arbor pretends to be. Knights steakhouse is excellent.

rmwill, I never noticed Ann Arbor claiming that it has a great (or hip) restaurant scene. Ann Arbor has decent dining options, but nothing great.

Great call.

What side of town are most restaurants located?

The Wendy’s in the union is gourmet, yet economical. Much better than a steak at the chop house.

How about a gift certificate to Main Street Ventures…several restaurants including the Chophouse.

Zola’s is a terrific choice.

Most restaurants are located on Main, Liberty, Washington, State and South University streets.
