How many high school graduation announcements did you send out and how much money did you recieve?

Hmm... None and nothing?

I'm sneding out 45 and HOPING to get like $400....I NEED new school clothes... and itd be nice to buy a nice rug (those buggers are EXPENSIVE, $175-$250!)

I probably sent out about 40...

I also had a grad party, which brought in a ton of money as well...

I think I ended up with between $600 and $800. I have friends who easily got over $1000.

What kind of rug are you planning on buying??? Sheesh

I bought a 20 dollar one from Walmart, because I knew that it would get ruined just from wear in a dorm room. Threw it away after about 1 year because, yep, got ruined from wear.

If you want a thicker rug, go find a remnant and cut it to fit your room or what size you want it.

i sent out prolly 30 or so

got a little over 1600. i didnt see a dime of that though. parents took it and put it in the bank

None and nothing - I though of it as tacky and pretty classless.

I don't think its tacky or classless...

The point of sending out announcements is not to get money...I sent them mainly to people we don't see very often, put in a senior picture, and wrote a note about what I was planning on doing after graduation. Some sent money, more didn't. My parents gave me a list of people to send announcements to...like I said, the majority were family or family friends that we don't see very often who might simply be interested with whats going on with me. I never really expected to get money, and when someone sent me money, I sent them back a thank-you note telling them that I would put the money to good use towards my education.
