Does anyone know how WPI will announce their EA decisions December 15?

No clue, their website just says the 15th. My son is waiting on a decision so the stress continues....good luck!

As I look at the online checklist of what's been submitted for the application, it doesn't look like they announce decisions online but like you, I can't find anything that says one way or another.

My son heard today: He gpt accepted!!!!!!!!!!! It came in the mail....large black envelope with decision notification marked on the outside; good luck!!

congrats collegemom! if you wouldnt mind elaborating on your sons stats b/c on every college that your son applied is basically where I have applied, I havent heard yet from WPI and I am a bit worried, you could PM if you would rather do that. Thank you and Congrats!!

Khanman36, It could just be because you're further away than we are; don't lose hope! We live in Mass only 1 hour away from WPI and the letter was dated 12/11; mailed on 12/12 and we got it today! If I can remember his stats:
GPA-3.6
SAT's: Math 690
Reading 580
Writing 560
He is taking almost all honors classes and 1 AP-Calculus class this year. He has many EC's which were probably viewed well and he had an awesone essay if I do say so myself. We're hoping for some merit aid; that wasn't included in this letter.Good luck to you; keep us posted!

Thanks for the info and congratulations to your son. We live further away so hopefully it will come tomorrow or Saturday. We'll watch for the black envelope.

Good luck Cornell; it has been a stressful wait; we still have 4 more to hear from so it continues....

Hi everyone; just wanted to correct that it was a large maroon colored envelope not a black one' my son was so excited to open it that I only got a glimpse of it and knew it was a dark color. I just wanted to correct that so you would be looking for the right color!!

Yeah, a black envelope might give the wrong impression!

did any body recieve a password with thier acceptance, to create an account for admitted students at WPI online, if you did was it an assigned number or did was it relevent to the applicant like for example your birthday or social security number....if somebody could tell me Thank You..

Yes, my son got a password that admits him to the "accepted students" part of WPI's website. Not sure if it was specific but it wasn't based on his birthdate or SS number.

Congratulations collegemom! Now all I have to worry about is tomorrow finally coming! I live in NY so it'll probably be in the mail right after I come back from school. The wait is so unbearable... good luck to all your other colleges!

Zeronax, the weather certainly didn't help with mail delivery today either; good luck tomorrow; please let us know how it works out for you!

I'm in! Top of the front reads "ADMISSIONS DECISION NOTIFICATION", mostly white with a maroon border. Back was maroon. Letter inside was dated 12/11/07, mailed 12/12/07. No financial aid info was included.

Congratulations Coopjust; we're hoping the merit aid comes in a different letter. Welcome to the WPI site...

I still didn't get a notification letter yet... I guess I'll wait until tomorrow.

coopjust--where do you live--just so we can track the letters as they come across the US--we're in CA.

Eh, Northeast of the US.

Go to this mailing time calculator. From zip code is "01609" (WPI, obviously) and put in your zip for destination ZIP. 0 pounds 3 ounces (guessing), large envelope.

Don't worry about the price- just look at "First Class Large Envelope" Speed: X Days. That slightly optimistic for my letter (2 days estimated and 3 days in reality, but the bad weather probably caused the delay). They mailed them out on 12/12.

The acceptance letter, if anyone is wondering.
