<p>This board does not have a section for UMUC students so I thought I would post some info here.</p>

<p>What is UMUC?
The University of Maryland University College (like UM – College Park) is one of the 13 schools in the University System of Maryland. UMUC is the second largest university in MD and is well know for its distance education programs. It has 98 different bachelors and masters degrees that you can earn fully online. Last year it has over 125,000 online enrollments – the most of any school in the world. </p>

<p>Some UMUC students have started an online forum at <a href="http://www.UMUCreview.com%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.UMUCreview.com&lt;/a>. Like this board, it is not affiliated with the school in any way. If you are interested in online education or UMUC you may want to check out our forum.</p>

<p>Tom's group <a href="http://www.umucreview.com%5B/url%5D"&gt;www.umucreview.com&lt;/a> is great, and a little more sophisticated than the Yahoo! group. However, why not go both ways and try <a href="mailto:umuc_students@yahoogroups.com">umuc_students@yahoogroups.com</a>.</p>

<p>Right now the groups are active with discussions about UMUC that are important to UMUC students and other members of the community. People seem honest in their appreciation for UMUC and also in the offering constructive criticism of UMUC programs and policies (and we haven't been shut down yet by the UMUC General Counsel, so there's still academic freedom and freedom of speech at president Susan Aldridge's UMUC).</p>
