Announcing Recruiting Class of 2015

My daughter's school announced their recruiting class for 2015 today. It was a bit surreal to read her name on the press release. It is just starting to sink in that in 8 months she will be moving 1500 miles away. Have any other schools made their announcements?

That’s so exciting fishy!! My daughter’s school didn’t announce recruits until June of last year so I’m thinking it will be the same this time. Also, due to the equivalency status of the sport (and subsequent chunks of scholarship money going elsewhere!) a few of the recruits my daughter met and liked have signed with other schools for more $$.

I guess they are waiting until they have more to announce!

Is it really 1500 miles??

Congrats again! We are still playing the waiting game, expecting to hear in about two weeks whether or not the merit aid will supplement the athletic or if we will be eating burgers and canned corn for 4-6 years. (she needs a masters degree at minimum for her intended field)

^very cool, congratulations!

Unfortunately my daughters high school doesn’t do anything special for the athletes, no signing ceremonies or press releases. It’s really a shame.

although the surreal moment for me was to read her name on a press release from the college, and it was published right on the University’s home page. Now that was cool!

I must confess I’ve clicked on that press release link more than once.

^^^Nothing from my daughter’s high school either. They have decided to have her signing ceremony in February with a slew of football plays. Now that will be a sight! I was referring to the press release from her University.
