Annoying Question, but I promise it will take like 3 seconds tops

Essay Question: Why do you want to transfer to blank and what will you contribute to campus life? (Limit: 250 words)

I don't know how they expect a reasonable response to that question in 250 words. But anyways, will they kick up any dust if it's up near 350?

what school is that for? that seems very limiting to expect you to give all of your reasons for that school in 250 words.

For most schools I've seen, going over by 100 words would seem to be pushing it, but I've heard people going over by a whole page (400 or so words) and being fine.

North Carolina.

I wouldn't worry about going over as long it's not a boring essay.

if it flows well, and doesn't get boring; then I'd say it's fine. But generally you want to keep it pretty close.

A UMich person told me that some people don't read past the word limit, or only barely read past it, even if it's a good essay.

but how do they know when they've reached the word limit? :D

exactly the science I've spent the last few days trying to figure out. :D
