Annoying to Cornell?

A few friends of mine have said they have been doing this, but I was wondering on what Cornell thinks of students sending in supplemental things after the application deadline. I am applying for their Hotel School.

I guess two examples are I was in the newspaper (along with my culinary class) for a gingerbread house we made before Christmas. The newspaper is pretty notable and I guess it just adds something about the coursework I do in my culinary academy, the story was just published a little later.

Another example would be that I and my team placed first in the state's ProStart competition this past monday which is a highly recognized culinary and management competition judged by hospitality professionals.

Do you think it'd be fine to submit these (and other things like this), or would it just be annoying and a bit detrimental?

Why not call and ask? No one will know the answer to this as well as Cornell’s very own admission office.
