I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but the wait is making studying for AP exams impossible for me!

It’s the last day of April(and still no notifications!) What do you guys think? Has anyone that sent them an email heard anything back yet?
I applied for this program thinking it was a stretch, but I didn’t realize it was a 1% acceptance rate kind of stretch. Wow. I haven’t heard anything, and it’s honestly keeping me up at night even though I don’t feel like I have any sort of shot getting in.
I know that last year people got results back at 8 AM (I’m assuming EST since they’re based on the East Coast), so maybe that’s when we’ll hear back// when they open? It’s just weird that they didn’t send an email announcing that they would be coming out late. Ngl I’m going to be really disappointed if I don’t get it especially with my nonstop updating of my email.
Last year, I got my rejection email on 5/2 (not sure of the exact time)
I just got an email back from them. The said that they will email results in “early May”. They said that they don’t have a specific date yet, because they are still reviewing applications.
That makes me wonder on how fast the process of getting a background check (conform citizenship and things of that sort) going to take. Because if they release the winners in “early May” (so inbetween this week and next week) they are probably giving the winners two weeks or so to make copies of the desired paperwork. Then the program in the middle of June. I just hope that the staff of vital voice don’t have to rush in order to the program done.

I have been intently following this and didn’t get an email yet!! I am freaking out! I found out about this 2 days before the deadline and crammed to get everything together so it is not my best work but I threw my heart at them!!! Any ideas why no email yet???
They probably are informing the selected first and if they decline, they will probably move on to the next person. That’s just a guess. I knew I had a small chance but I didn’t think I’d get my hopes up this much. Hopefully we can apply again next year!
I hope we still have a shot! The suspense is killing me!
