Another annoying, audacious request to chance me...interested anyone?...

Test Scores:
SAT 1- 2280 (cr-750, m-760, w-770)
SAT 2- Maths Level 2- 800, Phy and Chem- Not given but expect 780-800 in them also
AP Calculus AB, Physics C, Chemistry- all 5s

Academics:
I am from one of the best schools in New Delhi,India and it is very very competitive. We do not follow the American education system so I had to study for SATs, and APs myself, no AP courses. Also keep in mind that the Indian education system is much more rigorous at the high school level vis-a-vis the American high school system.
No GPA or school rank, we follow percentage system
I can only give you the SECTION rank where section is a subset of class. There are roughly 18 sections in each class comprising of 50 students each.
Class 10th- 94.3% Sec Rank-2
Class 11th- 88% Sec Rank-3 (Very tough year for everyone)
Class 12- Exams due, will work hard

Got a national level rank in the Math Olympiad in Class 7 and 8 and a medal at the state level in science in Class 6th. (Will these count?)

Got a 100% International Percentile in the ACER English Exam in class 9th (This will count!)

Achieved Distinction in the All India NSTSE Science and ASSET Exams from Class 6th to 8th

UNFORTUNATELY NO SCIENCE OR MATH OLYMPIADS HISTORY SINCE Class 9th (I know it's a very big blow, but can I survive it?)

Recs and Essays:
Will be very good hopefully, I am a good writer

THATS ALL ABOUT ME. LITERALLY. PLZ BE CANDID AND THEN I WILL CHANCE U BACK ALSO.

Oh I am looking at a dual major in Engineering and International Relations.
Other Colleges: Brown, Penn, Columbia, Cornell, WashU, JHU, Duke, Purdue, Amherst, Any suggestions, thx…

hey nice stats. You have a decent shot at getting in. However, I am pretty sure that your <9th grade awards will not count since its not high school here. You have a lot of awards, which is good. just make sure your essays turn out ok. GL

Oh and Im not too sure about this statement “Indian education system is much more rigorous at the high school level vis-a-vis the American high school system”. One of my indian friends (haha) has a cousin who is on her way to IIT so she goes to a special, advanced school with a special, advanced cirriculum. Yet, the work she is currently doing in 11th grade (or standard w.e) was equivalent to what my friend did in 9th grade. This is primarily because advanced kids get to take advanced classes here (i think its the same for everyone there, right?>?). THis is just what I heard but I may be wrong lol.

BUT generally you are right, american education system is lower than india’s education sytsem

Hey no offence meant there of course!!! It’s just that I heard that course level at high school level in India is higher than at American level and our classes tend to be very challenging. Thx so much for your opininon!

no one else?

It’s worth mentioning that you can’t double major at Princeton.

They call the top of the student government the “headboy?” What if it’s a girl?

what happened to the students before you? where did they go? that will help you in determining whether your school is rigorous enough to send ppl to Pton

interesting, yes you have a good chance, but like the posts above don’t include 9th because some schools in US don’t have that for High school they have 6-9 for middle school.

its all good haha I was just saying. I hope you get into your top choice.

You know what, I dont know a whole lot about the Indian school system, acually I only know what you’ve told us, but the way you describe what you have done, is very impressive. You are extremely confident and your post is oozing with it. I think that you personality, and your incredible achievements will give you a great shot at P-ton or any other top notch school. Congrats and GL!
