Well, I applied to Wooster RD
I am senior from Serbia, and I spent my junior year in Iowa on an exchange program. Here are my stats:

SAT:
CR - 680
M - 660
W - 580
TOEFL iBT - 111

As for the APs, curriculum in Serbia is standardized, which means 14 to 16 subjects each year with no chance of choosing subjects and no APs.

Exc activities and honors:

Distinguished Leadership Award from American Councils, earned for leadership activities throughout the year on A_SMYLE (American Serbia and Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange)

Presidential Volunteer Service Award - 100hrs of community service

Iowa STEM Award - After School Math Competition
4.Speech - Varsity Letter, state competition

Academic Bowl team - silver medal on conference competition

A-SMYLE alumni regional coordinator - planing and organizing A-SMYLE alumni events (volunteer actions and similar)

Meeting the past history competition (national), freshman year 2nd place, sophomore year 1st place - writing a research paper on local history topic.

My school does not rank.
GPA is calculated differently as well, but it was 3.9 unweighted in my junior year.
I applied via common app and I feel confident about my essay. I wrote about ham radio and how it sparked the passion for learning about the world which later on led me over the ocean.

I am in high need though. What helps is the fact that I am in the first generation of USAP program in Serbia.

Other colleges I am applying to are: Reed, Bowdoin, Grinnell, Agnes Scott, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Wash U in St Louis, Lafayette, Wesleyan for Women GA

I can’t speak for your chances; you are above-average for the school, but your international status complicates matters. I seriously have no idea whether you will get in or not :(

However, I will say that you and I have similar tastes in colleges. I am also applying to Grinnell, Smith, and Agnes Scott.

Are you kidding me, people above? The OP is definitely in. Even though it’s an international OP, and that makes the stats a little more competitive, he is WELL ABOVE even the 75% at Wooster. Unless the OP like completely bombed one part of the app, he’s easily in w/ merit. OP, you’re definitely in Wooster. I’d stay your international status will make Bowdoin, Grinnell, and St. Louis reaches, however. Reed, Holyoke, Smith & Lafayette should be matches. Good luck and don’t worry about Wooster, you’re fine.

Don’t mean to be rude to the doubtful people, but I would be startled if the OP didn’t get in and wasn’t heavily recruited. Wooster is an awesome school, but it can’t afford to turn away applicants like the OP

The OP’s SAT is below Reed’s 25th %ile, making Reed a reach by numbers, though numbers are only 20% of Reed admission criteria; GPA is likely fine. International competition needing aid is tough everywhere, especially in this time of reduced endowments.

I had similar SAT scores (CR+M) and Reed accepted me as an International Student with aid. Honestly, I feel there’s nothing really to accurately tell what Reed really wants, but it’s got its Admission priorities really sorted-it claims to practice a holistic review and it does, contrary to many other colleges that brag about it, but eventually use numbers as the first step in weeding out applicants. Also, Wooster is almost definite for you, as is, I would say, Mount Holyoke, Agnes Scott and Wesleyan GA. The others are a mix of reaches to matches, including Reed.

tnx ppl! Actually, I first heard of Reed when they sent me an email and catalog. After some reading and research, I fell in love with the school. I would love to get in there, but all the colleges on my list are really awesome so I will be happy to end up anywhere. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to redo my SAT (this is my first score) so it’s not the best possible but I hope other things in my app will make that up. Thank you again for your help!

Yeah, I know the SATs are a bit low for Reed, but the GPA would make up for it. Also, if the OP writes a great essay, Reed takes that into consideration too. Are they really below 25% though? I thought Reed’s low 25% is high 1200s and the high 75% is like mid-high 1400s

I think the range is 1290-1470. That being said, I think jezda3’s main disadvantage is her status as an International Student needing aid. Reed offers aid to only 20-25 International Students and this was before last year, so things might likely be worse. On the other hand, places like Grinnell (very international friendly yet reachy) and Wooster offer Merit Aid in addition to Financial Aid, so her case may be made easier her for there.
