Another CHANCE ME (sorry)

I applied ED to CAS. Planning to major in Economics.

I’m an international applicant from Poland. (white female)

Graduated from HS last spring, taking a break :-)

Attended a good (very old and historically very prestigious) high school in Warsaw

GPA: 5.2/6.0
Rank: 2/663 (1st in my class, but my school doesn’t rank this way…)
SAT: 2240 superscored (2220 on both single sittings) CR 750, W 730, M 760
ATC: 32
SAT II: World Hist. – 750, Math IIC – 760
TOEFL: 109/120 iBT

ECs:
- finalist of Human Rights Olympiad
- school paper for two years (one as editor)
- volleyball team
- class president for a year
- founded an econ club in my school
- girl scout (leader of a group of about 20 girls), organized a lot of outings and trips
- a lot of charity work
- volunteer helping children with their school work
- currently working for a big insurance company
- spend two summers in a row working for big non-government organizations in Belgium and Ukraine
- got a lot of money in scholarships (I don’t know it that matters)

I have nice recommendations from teachers and people I worked for.
Pretty good, though probably not great essays.

I’m freaking out :)

i’m not sure about the specifics for cas economics, but you seem like a fit for cas in general. i’ve never heard of the 6.0 gpa scale though!

Godly SAT II world history score I might add.

@sigoaqui: Not only it’s 6.0 scale but 6 is given only for some outstanding achievements in that field OUTSIDE school. Like, you can’t get a 6 on a test… But I bet NYU doesn’t know about it so GPA is actually sth I’m really worried about…

@SleepingGrunt: Thanks :)

Well you’re more qualified than I was and I got in.

Don’t worry too much  .
