Another chance me thread.....

Hey all, I know these chance me threads often don’t mean much but I’d really appreciate some feedback, I feel like I’ve been so caught up in the application process that it’s starting to become hard for me to judge my own app.

ACT: 34
SAT II: Math1 (720), Biology (730)
GPA: 3.8 (rigorous independent school, increased from 3.6 in 9th to 3.8 in 10th to 4 in 11th)
AP: Biology (5), APUSH (5), Calc AB (4), World History (5)-WH was a self study
Senior Course Load: Organic Chemistry, AP Calc BC, MUN, Chinese 4 (might test into AP), AP Lang
Major Awards: state science fair honorable mention, commended for NMS

Extracurriculars: Green Committee (founder/co-president 10th, 11th, 12th), Mental Health Awareness Club (founder/president 11th, 12th), Squash (varsity 4 years, 12th team captain)
Volunteer: counselor for kids with Down syndrome (9th, 50 hours), Emergency Room volunteer (11th, 100+ hours), interned at local homeless shelter (11th, 12th, 100+ hours), created a school-wide program to help reduce test anxiety (connected to science fair)

Summer Activites: above, biomedical research at college lab

Male, Parents make <30k, Japanese-American, first gen college

Really hoping to join Middlebury’s neuroscience program as it seems like the strongest out of all the top LACs

you should look into getting recruited for squash!

I think you look like a very competitive applicant I’d say you have a 50/50 shot, and you should definitely look into other mid-range top 40-15 schools and try to get recruited for squash as well. In order to boost your chances, you’re gonna have to write some really good essays too. I hope this helps and if you wouldn’t mind, could you chance me back?

Your parents make less than 30K? Don’t you mean 300K? Your record is good, and you should absolutely contact the squash coach.
