Hi, sorry to pester with these sorts of questions, but what do you think my chances are at Cornell?

I'm an international student living in a country from which I'm sure there will only be a handful of applicants, if any. I'm not a citizen of this country, but I've spent my entire life here, so I still count it as my home.

On my first sitting of the SAT Reasoning Test, I got a 2120 with 650 in CR, 760 in Maths and a 710 in Writing. Not sure if I'll retake it yet.
My subject tests looked a little better with an 800 in German, 780 in Physics and a 770 in Maths II.

My high school results are pretty good, I've always been the top, or close to the top, of my year.

Extra-curriculars: Well, we certainly don't place quite as large an emphasis on them as American students do, but I've done quite a lot in music and dance, and have done a number of internships at home and abroad.

Thanks if you'd like to chance me, it'd be really appreciated.

If I were you, I would take another SAT and look for a higher score. Usually, internationals need higher scores to have a greater chance of acceptance. Also, I think your essays and recommendations will be very important. Don’t be afraid to have someone trustworthy and competent advising you on your essay; and only look for recommendations from teachers/instructors that have known you for at least a year.

So if I get 2150 ( 800 Math/ 620 Critical Reading/ 720 Writing) for SAT and (720 Math II, 700 Chemistry, 580 US History), which should I take in October to apply ED for Cornell, SAT I or SAT II ? I am so worried because I dont think November is early enough to send my score? Could I notify the admission officer to wait until I send my latest score? Do I really need to raise my CR score to above 650 this October? Is that true that sending SAT II score at November has more chance to be accepted/received than sending SAT I?
I also have another minor question but dont want to make a new thread. If my supp essay for CAS emphasizes that I love it most, does my chance at the alternative college become smaller in case I am rejected at CAS?
I am an international student from Vietnam. Apply ED for CAS this year. Thanks

OP Your SAT subject scores are very strong. It is hard for anyone to assess chances without knowing the quality of your essays, recommendations, and other intangibles. I think from what you’ve provided, you’re a competitive applicant. Try to increase your SAT I score by a little.

If you’re applying ED, you should take the SAT I in October and any other SAT II’s in November. If possible, you should try to get CR above 650 without dropping anything else, as it would only help you. As for alternate admissions, I can’t really answer anything about it.

So is it early enough to send November SAT I or SAT II score ? I know that it is not guaranteed to send November score but in your opinion, can I ask the admission staff to delay viewing my application? If so, taking SAT II in October, SAT I in November or taking SAT I in October, SAT II in November is the same ? And what about the chance of sending November score early enough?
I think my SAT II is too low, especially the Math II ( cant believe that I just get 720) :(
