Another 'chance' question....

So I've had VERY low GPAs Freshman and Sophomore year without honor or AP classes (Accumulative 2.8.. I know..) which will obviously knock me off the list for the highly selective colleges. However, here are my current stats..

Junior year
GPA 3.8 with all honors classes (weighted)

This summer i'm taking Psychology, College Algebra, Statistics and Physics at my community college.

Senior year schedule
AP Economics
AP Environmental Science
AP English
H/ Precalc
H/ Anatomy & Physiology
H/ Political Science

I'm planning to give SAT IIs in Spanish, English Lit and Math 1
SAT score - close to 2000, giving it in Oct.

Looking solely at my grades and seeing improvements, do I still have a shot at selective schools? My absolute reach is UCLA but I'm aware that may be unrealistic now. What are some great schools within my stats?

bumbbb, anyone??

I am in a similar situation as you -I was very immature in 9th and 10th grade but I finally got it together this year and have much better scores. Let me tell you, if you do well your senior and market your upward trend, I was told colleges, especially LACs, appreciate that a lot.

That being said, I could help you pick a college or two to look at that’s within your range, as long as its an LAC. What are you interested in studying?

I’m thinking larger national schools, which LACs are not :/
