Another Chance Thread (Good GPA, not great test scores)

<p>What are my chances of getting into my reach/high reach schools (below)? Do you think my chart is right? Thanks a lot. </p>

<p>Rising Senior.
GPA 95/100 - Most challenging curriculum offered in high school
took 3 APs (World, English Lang, US Hist) got 5s on all, taking 5 APs senior year</p>

<p>SAT - CR 610, Math - 690, Writing - 630 (i know not good)
Plan to take ACT September (if i can get 30-32 how much will my chances improve?)</p>

<p>SAT II - US History 690 (dont know how i got that low looking for 750+ on retake)
Will take Math I and II in October</p>

<p>EC - very active in activities below
Debate (top team in school district, lots of awards including NYS varsity Finalist), Future Business Leaders of America (Chapter President/ Business Achievement Awards, state and national leadership conferences),
Science Research (Competing in INTEL STS this year, abstract hydrogen economy)
Will be in National Honor Society
Piano since 1999 (level 6 NYSSMA completion w/ score of 99)
Volunteer in library, Humane society, Support connections
Sports -JV soccer 10th, Varsity Track 11th</p>

<p>Recs - Pretty Good -teachers know/like me
Essay - Will be decent/Good nothing extraordinary</p>

<p>I would put Chicago and Northwestern into the high reach category with your current standardized test scores. If you get your ACT to 31-ish, it would boost your chances significantly, and all of your schools would be moved down a notch (Penn, Chicago, Northwestern –> Reach, Georgetown –> Match, etc).</p>
