Another chance thread. mind reading?

<p>so im applying to uva from north carolina for the january deadline.</p>

<p>firstly- im white, but i was born in south africa and my family immigrated in 1995. I go back once a year, i also travel frequently. i definitely use my diversity in college essays all the time.</p>

<p>Im an IB diploma candidate.
1/250ish in a public high school.(4.0 unweighted)
aside from the ib classes, i have taken 4 aps
world history-4
us history-4
human geography-4
physics-3</p>

<p>obviously i need to 150 hours of community work to get an ib diploma. i got a lot of those hours on a 2 week volunteer trip to costa rica this past summer.
i love sports (Varsity Golf(9,10,11,12) and Varsity Soccer(12))
two time captain for the golf team. all conference 4a golfer 3 years in a row.
other little volunteer jobs here and there mostly local besides costa rica.</p>

<p>total of 4 ap classes, 8 ib classes</p>

<p>oh yeah and sat=2050(660- cr 670-math 720-writing)</p>

<p>Im a first year and i got in out of state. you definitely have a good chance. just to give you an idea...ACT 32, top 5%, 3.9 UW, 4.4 W 2 AP's junior year, 5 AP's senior year, 4's and 5's on all AP tests, no terribly impressive extracurriculars, just NHS and sports, i played golf and soccer too! good luck!</p>
