Another Chance Thread... Sorry!

<p>Could some of the CCers give me some advice on my chances? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>GPA= 4.0 (UW) and 4.25 (W)
SAT=2010
ACT=33</p>

<p>SAT II= 800 (Biology M), 800 (Math IIC), 800 (US History)
AP: 5's in Biology, US History, and French, (taking 6 more my senior year)</p>

<p>Classes: I took all the honors and AP classes offered.</p>

<p>EC's </p>

<p>Cancer/Science Research
-Completed a research project at Oakland University on the regulation of p53 by estrogen in breast cancer.
-Recently completed a research internship at the Karmanos Cancer Center (data that will most likely be published sometime in 2007 in a cancer research journal)
-Shadowed an oncologist.
- Accepted to complete a research project at U of M.
- For the past 3 years I competed in regional and state science fairs earning top scores.
-President of the Science Research Group which helps to connect students with labs to do research.</p>

<p>Politics
-Help to found the Political Action Group at my school.
-Served as Democratic Liason (organizer of Democratic volunteer opportunities), and Co-Chair.
-Help to direct student-led protest against budget cuts.
- Affiliated with the Michigan Democratic Party.
- Recently nominated to become the Precinct Leader of my Precinct and I am currently working on the 2006 election of the governor and the senator.</p>

<p>Music
- Played clarinet for 9 years.
- Accepted to the Interlochen Arts Camp and Blue Lake Arts Camp.
- Accepted and attended various honors bands at different universities like MSU.
- Over 17 Solo and Ensemble awards (all I's)
- First Chair Clarinet.</p>

<p>French
-Founding member of my school's French Club.
-Served as president for 2 years.
-Organized many different events including ethnic nights, fundraisers, charity events, and inter-school french competitions.
- Accepted to spend the summer of my senior year in France studying French.</p>

<p>I plan on pursuing an MD/Ph. D program for I aspire to be a cancer research doctor and after researching the schools on the list I felt that these schools have the most promising research and research opportunities.</p>

<p>you have a great chance EDing lower ivies. HYP=probably no b/c suspiciously low SAT I</p>

<p>Do you think my ACT score would make up for my poor SAT score (which I plan to bring up in October substantially)?</p>

<p>Any other opinions? </p>
