Another chance thread...

Me:

Instate
3.7655 (yup - that precise) - about 3.66 Freshman year, 3.75 Sophomore year, 3.90 Junior Year (shows improvement with full IB course load)
High School extremely academically oriented - rated 5th best in nation by US News this year
ACT - 33
SAT - Math 710, Reading - 760, Writing 780

National Honor Society
- and plenty of other ECs, awards, and excellent recommendations.

Questions is, how much of a chance that I DON'T get in (because I would then have to prepare other applications). I really don't want to go anyplace else.

Match

OK GPA, offset by good HS rep but will be better if your load was challenging (lots of honors and APs, because some Michigan classes are harder than the APs)

Good test scores

Sounds like you’re good on ECs

solid chance… esp. as an in-stater

ab2013 - High School curriculum was entirely honors and IB focused. There weren’t any non-honors or IB classes. The junior and senior year is entirely focused on the IB. The school is a magnet school for the area focused on the IB program.

To the OP:

Oh … sorry… I was a bit tired (finals week here) so I missed the “IB courseload” part

With IB, you should be good. Strong match perhaps.

Do you attend IA?

Very solid match. Assuming you are IS and applied AE, I like your chances.

ab2013 - Yeah, I go to IA

Alexandre - I did apply AE. And I am instate.

Match 10 char
